Blood Cousins

Kagome Higurashi and Akari Unryu are blood cousins as Akari is the niece of Kagome’s mother. These two girls each live a unique lifestyle and each one has their significant other in their arms .  You would almost think that they were sisters instead of cousins as they also share similar facial features as well. They once thought of themselves as sisters until…well…a bad falling out.

They use to think of themselves as sisters but in their late childhood the two girls got into a bit of a strained relationship as Kagome found Akari’s lifestyle to be weird and Akari has not quite forgiven her yet for calling pig sumo “stupid” when she was younger. This caused Akari to break off her ties with her cousin breaking her heart as she felt Kagome was the closest thing she could have to a sister in her life. A few years later, after Kagome begins to travel to the Feudal Era to help in the battle against Naraku she begins to understand that all people are born unique and could go on to live interesting lifestyles which to them are viewed as normal apart from what others might think. A story-arc might be involved in which Kagome and her family goes on a trip for a week (InuYasha follows of course) to visit her uncle and tries to make up with her estranged cousin. How do you think it will turn out?
