Rin and Rukia Sweet Sisterhood

Another great commission picture done for me by my good friend .






This picture alone has to already be one of my most favorite crossover pictures I had commissioned as it really shows a deep sisterly bond between these two. I had my good friend do another crossover picture for me only this time it was a more simpler picture that only features Rin from InuYasha and Rukia Kuchiki from Bleach. 

My idea for this picture was done from a previous anime picture I came across on the internet but unfortunately I can't remember the site that I saw the picture on. For Rin I chose to have her drawn in the kimono she was seen receiving from Sesshomaru in the last episode of InuYasha, it would have been so great to actually see her in it as she would have looked so lovely. I decided to add on an extra big bow to her outfit as I felt that it would go well with the picture. For Rukia the inspiration to her outfit came from another picture I came across that had her dressed in a summer-style kimono rather then her usual shinigami attire and it was also from a original artwork promo poster that was done and can be found here: Rukia Kuchiki in kimono Poster. I also decided on the hairstyle that Rukia wore in the one Bleach New Years filler episode as I don't think that pigtails look all that great on her. 

Rukia happily hugs Rukia-"Oneesan" with a huge smile on her face and she looks so adorable with the perpetual blush on her cheeks as well. Rukia also seems very happy at receiving a hug from Rin too and even mentions that Rin's hugs always feel "nice and warm". 

I seriously love the idea if a crossover with Bleach and InuYasha were to happen that Rin would come to view and idolize Rukia as a new role-model and a sisterly figure as she would come to see her as strong, fearless, independent woman (which she is). Rukia would also see something "special" inside of Rin as well and for a while wouldn't be able to put her finger on it.

These two would really hit it off well with each other due to the fact that they both did have rough childhoods for a while and Rin would be able to encourage Rukia in ways that no one else has and Rukia would do the same for her that could be a stepping stone for Rin to grow into her own person and develop character too.

Just from looking at this picture for some reason I can actually see these two being like "soul sisters" to each other and that seriously wouldn't be a bad thing either as I would love to see that happen as I feel that Rin would come to see Rukia as being the "Big Sister" that she never had.
